Job Description:
FUNCTION & SCOPE:
Under the general direction of the Accounts Payable/Purchasing Manager, perform diversified clerical and accounting duties such as processing of vendor check activity, distribution of vendor checks, and input of invoices for payment. Job functions are performed within established procedures under general guidance and supervision.
DUTIES:
Responsible for the review and distribution of the daily AP vendor checks. This includes monitoring the email box Vendchecks and handling special check requests.
Input and monitor accounts payable invoices in the Oracle Accounts Payable module for all corporate office activity, campus activity and any affiliated activity. Obtain supporting documentation from campuses and gather second signatures for all payments over $100K.
Monitor the Vendchecks mailbox for incoming campus wires. Process wires in the AP module and run Visual Compliance on all foreign wires and checks.
Modify payment batches as requested by campuses (pulling payments, changing routing of payments, etc.).
Process P-card reconciliation charges.
Perform stop/cancel/reissues of payments as requested.
Assist with providing AP training to campus and Central Office staff.
Contribute to and participate in Internal Controls process for accounts payable and purchasing.
Performs a variety of administrative assignments, including filing, mailings, answering phones, mail sorting and preparing FedEx/UPS requests.

Other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable/Purchasing Manager.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or 5 or more years progressive experience in clerical functions including experience in accounting or accounts payable. Working knowledge of Excel and Word software applications desirable.
